March 11, 20251 yr Good Morning hope you guys are well. I am looking for some advice and wasn't sure if this was the right place to post so do feel free to move to the correct forum. I'm a long time FSX/P3D user who has an HP compaq 2530p notebook that my late father gave to me. I would like to use this to run little Navmap but the OS is Win 7 and cannot be updated to a later OS as far as i am aware. Before installing any software I am wondering if its actually safe for me to network this to my Windows 10 machine. I really don't want it to go to e-waste and it would be good to have a use for it but i am not sure how risky it would be to use it for this purpose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated kind regards Daz My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/Dkentflyer
March 11, 20251 yr You can try it but I did not test LNM with Windows 7 for a long time. You've probably seen this already but here is the user manual chapter how to use a remote computer: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/NETWORK.html IMO the best option is to install Linux (LNM is also available for this) which normally runs without problems on old computers.
