Help PC won’t boot

Featured Replies

With the NVidia app installed, 2024 will not load. I decided to use DDU to do a clean install of drivers and the NVidia app.  DDU warned me to start in safe mode. I didn’t know how to do that so I watched a YouTube video to press the shift key while pressing the power button/restart.

i did that but my pc doesn’t start. I don’t even see the bios starting up! Anybody can offer advice?

Try to do a full power recycle.  Pull the plug from the PSU for a minute or two, plug it back in and hopefully it will go back to default boot sequence.  Don't go for the MOBO reset yet, that will wipe out everything including boot devices...  There is a "chance" if the BIOS didn't load the system will reset it to defaults anyway.

The video said I should see some options on reboot to choose safe mode, but that never appeared. I’ll try unplugging the PC as you suggest.

Some of the new Bios's load so quickly it will flash by quicker than you can even get to it.  I usually start hitting F8 or F12 as soon as it starts if I need safe mode or bios options.  It's literally like a flash on my machine.

You will also get it sometimes after an initial load but not a restart.

Fingers crossed the full reset works

It is Just Flight F28 V2 release day. Been looking forward to 2024 compatibility. I so hate that feeling when the PC doesn’t boot, the heart really sinks!
