[FIXED in 10.7.8] sys error 23 could not load dbase

Featured Replies

Hi Nico, how r you? I was using PSXT normally, but when I approached KPHX it showed the error "sys error 23: database could not be read from online?". I reset the computer, but it still doesn't work. All other applications continue to work, ruling out a problem with the internet or connection. Could you help me?

Most likely a problem at the server where PSXT is hosted.

I've opened a ticket at my Internet Service Provider.

Cannot do much more.

Just wait.

Sorry, just an idea. Manual download in Chrome seems fine.

Yeah, that's strange. Unfortunately it is Sunday now. The SP's heldesk opens at 11.00 (about one hour from now).

Hello,

Is there any update regarding this? Is there a chance of it coming back today or is that difficult considering it's sunday?

Thanks

@bartgast

Yes, because I do work (for free) on Sunday's too. 😉

The problem is fixed. It turned out that my ISP changed their policy wrt accepting http requests from programs. I have updated PSXT to conform to this new rule.

Download and install 10.7.8  from my web site.

Nico

Try a reinstall of 10.7.8

Sofar you are the only one that reports this problem, running 10.7.8

In what country are you running PSXT?

Thank you Nico,

I had the same problem but is now fixed since i downloaded and installed the 10.7.8 version.

By the way, is there a way to change the aircraft time representation to 90 seconds so i can see a smoother landing approach of traffic in final? I notice sudden changes in altitude in GA traffic when airplanes are in final

No that's not possible, sorry. Longer buffering times introduce problems as well. 30 seconds is the optimum value, based on 10 years of experience.

BTW: data about GA aircraft can be  less stable then from airliners, that's why you may see sudden changes.

Sorry for late feedback, but reinstall fixed it. I'm from The Netherlands .😁
