March 28, 20251 yr I soon be building a new PC with a new Windows installation and migrating AAO's. I regulary back up the database. When I restore the database on the new PC, will that also restore all my aircraft templates and all my scripts ? Do I need to backup or export any other files so that I can restore everything as it is now before I make a dreadful mistake Would appreciate some guidance . Thanks Andrew
March 28, 20251 yr Commercial Member When you are using the built-in backup and restore feature, moving over the resulting ZIP-file, that will recreate the database as it was. What you will have to move manually are the gauges, webpages etc. in Documents\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files\. But. On a new computer all your device GUIDs will be different, so no joystick etc. input from your old configuration will work initially. After restoring the backup in AAO, you will have to go to "Hardware->Device change" and replace the old GUIDs with the new ones. Edited March 28, 20251 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
March 28, 20251 yr Author Thanks for the super quick reply. I'm only using AAO's for LVARs and scripts to control MSFS with an xTouch Mini, nothing else at the moment. So by the sounds of it, restoring the database should do the trick . Many thanks, and thanks for a great piece of software 🙂 Andrew
