April 11, 20251 yr My Flightsim PC main drive failed. I was using Windows 10. I have reinstalled and performed all updates. When I First installed MSFS, I installed on my D drive. I still have that drive with MSFS on it. What is the best way of re installing MSFS. I would like to keep the original on D drive, but don’t know if it will wipe everything out on that drive. When I first installed MSFS, I chose the D drive, but I know MSFS still installs the EXE on the C drive. How should I go about installing MSFS, and keep on the D drive?
April 11, 20251 yr Just let the process install the core sim files on C drive, when you start the sim for the first time, it will ask where you want the community folder, this is when you can point the installer to your D drive community folder. MSFS installer won't wipe anything and this is how I reinstalled 2020 anyway.
