April 26, 20251 yr Greetings to Everyone, I have a problem with this scenery's AFCAD. The FAIB Airbus A321&Boeing 738 models don't show up, and if I'm piloting aircrafts like these, the ATC is unable to provide me any kind of stand. As far as I know, a faulty AFCAD file could cause issues, like this. So, I was trying to fix it in numerous ways (ADE, SceneX, modify the parking radius datas in the Aircraft.cfg file) - unfortunately, so far, unsuccesful. I have the same experiences with a couple of other sceneries (e.g. EPKT, EPPO, etc.), but in case of EPKT, the really interesting phenomenon is that the FAIB B738 models are appear, in opposite of the A321s... Could you suggest something to solve this problem? I would be very grateful!! Thanks a lot for reading!
April 26, 20251 yr When you write "The FAIB Airbus A321&Boeing 738 models don't show up" what exactly do you mean? If the gates at the airfield have specific airline codes appointed to them and your aircraft haven't got one of those codes, the ATC will have you "down the list" when it comes to designating parking, especially if there are more "eligible" candidates in the queue. If the parking radius of the gates are smaller than the parking radius of your aircraft you won't get a gate. The resolution may simply be to increase the radius of one or more of the gates and/or add your airline code to the associated list, but if you've got a lot of traffic at your airport(s) you may have to reduce traffic density to fit everything in. Try switching AI off (or reducing it significantly) then see what response you get from ATC. One thing is almost certain ... the AFCAD won't be "faulty", but possibly unsuitable for what you're trying to achieve 😉
April 30, 20251 yr chris_eve gives a number of very good tips but I've definitely solved your problem in my own FS2004 by deleting all airline codes from all Afcad parking/gate positions. In this way any arriving flyable aircraft will always be directed to a randomly available parking/gate position with the correct or greater radius. However, if you prefer a certain gate for your arriving aircraft, then you can always select that gate (with an ample radius} and then specify your single airline code for that gate only. Another possible issue: When you arrive at your parking/gate position in your flyable aircraft, this will always be at a local time of day (or night) and this will almost never coincide with the presences of your expected AI aircraft. As a test you could start up a flight at EPGD (or at any of your other quoted airports) and then vary the time of day to see if your "missing" AI aicraft suddenly appear on any of the other positions. May 3, 20251 yr Author Dear chris_eve & Hans! Many thanks for your replies and I apologies for my late feedback... Your tips are really great and useful, I'll give a chance to try out them! By the way, I've found my final solution by using ADE and setting the parking radius datas up to 28 meters, and the result is now awesome. The FAIB Boeing 738 & A321 models are appeard and everything is working fine. Regards globetrotting
