A question about mouse control mode in MSFS2024

Featured Replies

After exiting the mouse control mode and re-entering it, the rudder/joystick status will automatically return to the status before exiting, this often causes the aircraft to lose control.

For example: press "TAB" to enter the mouse control rudder mode, move to the left to full left rudder, exit the mode and use the in-game key to return the rudder to the center. When entering the mode again, the rudder will automatically turn to the full left rudder state instead of returning to the center state.

I don't know how to set it so that the rudder/joystick will not return to the status before exiting.

You can't. The mouse control logic was specifically designed to do this. The simmers who requested the mouse yoke way back when, required that the control surfaces stay in their last position when you disengage the mouse (so an aircraft would keep flying a turn while you do something else with the mouse, and you can return to that state without having to move the mouse to a specific spot or something). The logic is not equipped to process conflicting input, it assumes that when you decide to use mouse controls, you only control the surfaces with the mouse and nothing else.

I will add a few commands to AAO in the next version that will allow you to reset the mouse axis to their "neutral" position.
