July 23, 200817 yr When on the ground (and only on the ground - not in the air) the airplane will run straight only when heading north. On any other heading it turns to north unless restrained with substantial pedal input. The greater the speed the greater the rate of turn. It cannot be properly steered at speed. The plane will taxi slowly but take-offs and landings on other than runnways numbered close to 36 are difficult and not very satisfactory. The same thing does not occur with FS9 which I use most of the time. I would like to do more with FSX and wonder if anyone might be able to get me straightened out.Peter.
July 23, 200817 yr Hi,You've made sure that your weather settings have no winds and your'e not running any weather program? You experience this with a default FSX aircraft? You experience this at different airports?Ulf B
July 23, 200817 yr I would have answered "yes" but, to be sure, I have now tried again with no weather and so far the plane steers fine. Thank you for asking the questions Ulf. It does appear the difficulty is not FSX but my Wx engine.Peter.
July 24, 200817 yr Planes are way too sensitive to wind on the ground in FS, its a known problem.XP Pro SP2-FSX SP2AMD FX60-8800GTS-2 Gigs RAMFEX-GEX-UTUSA-FSGenesis-and a bunch of other stuffComputer optomized by www.fs-gs.com
