pmdg 777s lighting [msfs2020] - major issue

Featured Replies

I moved to latest nvidia driver which requires DX12.. now, the 777 internal lights do not illuminate cabin and cargo area.. its a show stopper for me as i fly exclusively night ops.. when i was in dx11, i used to clear shader cache as a workaround.. I have done nearly 10 flights in the 77F few months ago and the lights used to work really well as long as i cleared shader cache..  but this no longer works in dx12 or dx11 with their latest build from OC3.

so i switched back to older driver 566.14 and moved to dx11.. but with latest 777 build, none of the internal lights work, except for the VC.. i have the cargo and the 300er.. same issue in both..

I have raised a ticket in pmdg oc3, but they haven't been able to find a fix so far.. also they are buried in firefighting 2024 bugs.. so wanted to get help from avsim veterans here.. has anybody else tested the 777 night lights with latest 777 build and dx11 or dx12 and have got the illumination to work?

i have also disabled shader cache in nvidia app.. so i dont have to clear the cache anymore.. but still it doesnt work.. no shader files anymore..

for reference, i loaded up the ifly max and the internal lights work beautifully including the complex lighting themes in FAP.. fenix internal lights also work great.. only pmdg lights are broken and they have been for more than a year now..
