August 6, 200817 yr Hi!The DME beeper has somehow become stuck on for all aircraft and the incessant beeping is driving me insane.I can see it on, on the communications panel and can toggle the other buttons on or off, but the DME button does not respond and stays on.Is there any way, in a configuration file or something, I can force the thing off.regards,Alan.
August 6, 200817 yr Well, I'm no expert on this, but you could check your joystick and keyboard assignments to see if you are inadvertently triggering this.
August 6, 200817 yr Hi!Thanks for the response. It was not the problem, but in checking it, I did find the problem. To some extent it is operator error. It appears that some of my aircraft do not have an active DME switch, so you can't turn it off, but if I switch to an aircraft that can and then switch back again, it stays off.regards,Alan.
August 7, 200817 yr Author There's a keyboard command for switching VOR 1 and VOR 2 ident on or off which may be just what you need. It's Ctrl+1 and Ctrl+2 if you've still got the default keyboard assignments.Mike. Mike Beckwith
