Huge FPS Drop after engine start

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I've been having this issue since a while now, when I am parked at the gate with the engines turned off (any add-on aircraft), I have a good FPS rate, around 30-40. At the moment the engines are started, I have a massive FPS drop, around 10-15 fps. I've tried to lowering my graphic settings to the lowest at every option and this is still happening.

My PC specs are:

 Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10600K CPU @ 4.10GHz   4.10 GHz
RAM 16,0 GB
Tarjeta gráfica    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)

Any help?

What version of Windows do you have? Have you updated Windows in the last few days? It's hard to find a solution without knowing if you installed something new in the sim or the PC before this problem occurred.

I solved all my problems with instability and fps drops, OOM, CTD, and Resource Exhaustion simply by uninstalling X-Box Game Bar and all its similar ones from the PC. However, if you give more information we'll see what it could be. If P3D goes into CTD attach the Event Viewer log (.xml)

@DaniAvia, and okay with default? If so then lower scenery complexity settings to low and try again. If still a problem it might be advisable to update to W11 which should be free.

Hello, thanks for the help! I tried with a default planes in different scenaries. This happens with some scenaries like Boston that they're pretty complex but in some others it works great with the new setting.

Thanks a lot for the help!!

@DaniAvia, when trying to resolve a problem only change one thing. The aircraft. Keep to the same airport. A default one, not an addon like Boston which is eating fps.

What setting did you change? Scenery Complexity?
