ms flight 2020 help !!

Featured Replies

Got the ms 2020 flight sim 40th anniversary. downloaded game and it let me start adding a few setting. I did not have my hotas plugged in as it was just a test opening it and was going to try it last night.

Opened it last night and today  get to a screen that says mandatory update goes on for hours and gets nowhere. seems to be downloading deleted and then downloading the same files and not going further.

Read its a common problem but tried a few things and nothing has worked.  renamed community folder updated xbox app , signed in to that and ms store.

Anyone got a quick fix ? I am rapidly hating this thing as I have been trying for around 6 hours to get the download !

Thanks Alan

Try to uninstall, then reinstall the XBox app.  I don't think just updating it will solve it.

Hi,

I did this and it made no difference. Just trying again with antivirus disabled and cleared cache and cookies.  each time I run it the amount needed to be downloaded is dropping maybe 5 -10 GB so I am assuming bits must be coming down but it hits either update 8 or update 11 and that seems to spark the repeating cycle. first time it said 508 packages to download, now saying 478 but this is now after around 8 hours trying.

I will post what happens today later tonight. I will leave it running all day and see what happens.

Thanks Alan

Depending on what connection speed you have, it can take anything up to and over 6hrs to download from scratch.
