August 31, 200817 yr Does anyone else have the designed for FSX Carenado 206? I am flying the float plane around at night but I cannot seem to get the dome light to go off but still have the instrument panel illuminated. Does anyone know how to do this?ThanksAlex
September 1, 200817 yr Moderator IIRC, that is the only lighting for the VC. They did not provide for emissive gauge backlighting... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
September 1, 200817 yr Well that sucks... I see the gauge backlighting turn on, then the dome light quickly turns on as well. If I get rid of the vc light effects file line in the aircraft.cfg file, will that fix it?

The HSI, Attitude Indicator and Radio Stack become a little hard to see though. I modified the Cessna206_1_L texture to make the HSI and AI visible, but the radios are still dim.I seem to recall someone mapped VC cabin lighting to the smoke system command for cases just like this. Might be worth messing with for this plane.
