Winwing and MiniCockpit together?

Featured Replies

Is anyone running products from both companies?  Just wondering if there are any known issues with running both of their software apps together?  I've had the MiniFCU since the kickstarter, though I have not picked up any of Mini's other stuff but I was debating adding the WinWing airbus MCDU to my setup.  Wanted to make sure there wouldn't potentially be any collisions/conflicts with the two pieces of software running together.

No, there are no complications. I used a MiniFCU and have an MCDU from Winwing, and everything works without a problem. But I switched my FCU to Winwing now because I wasn't satisfied with the MiniFCU's connection to EFIS. In any case, you can safely use MiniFCU and Winwing together.

Thanks!  I'm debating switching to WW as well for everything since I'm also interested in some of their Boeing FCU type products.  Just need to find a way to offload the Mini version.  Even have an extra board for it lol.  For some reason, maybe earlier design, it stopped being able to flash official firmware with their latest November 2024 firmware but would work perfectly fine with mobiflight.

They sent me a new board which fixed that, didn't want the old one back, so I just held onto it.  Had thought about swapping it in for using with mobiflight for non Airbus stuff while keeping the new board "stock" in case the swapping back & forth to mobiflight really caused an issue, but that connector is so hard to get the board out of I decided against it.  Then all the winwing stuff started coming out anyway.
