What's the best way to speed up aircraft texture loading?Sometimes when switching views there is a delay before the aircraft textures are displayed, sometimes this is fairly quick but sometimes it can be up to 20-30 secs.I'm a fairly experienced user with FS and am familiar with most of the known tweaks and settings. My PC is pretty reasonable although not the very latest.FWIW I know there is no magic bullet for FSX, but I have found a pretty good performance/quality balance. It's just those darn delays. :)Thanks!

I've found that adding Bufferpools in the cfg file is the best way to combat the delay with texture loading.I use Bufferpools=10000000, the number depends on how much video ram your gfx card has, have a search in google, there is a guy called Phil Taylor and he has wrote about this in more detail.:)http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/0nn...s/me-in-il2.jpg
