Disable Dual Screen in FSX?

Featured Replies

Hi,I was wondering if anyone knows a way to stop FSX from automatically using my 2nd display w/o disabling the screen from windows. I only ask b/c for some reason my FS9 never used my 2nd display, so it just showed my desktop and i was able to drag squawkbox over to it (and i didn't care cuz it gave me better FPS than dual screen anyway)...Thanks

If you change FSX to windowed mode, then you second monitor will display the desktop and be usable while FSX is running. In full screen mode the second monitor is blacked out.R-

Thanks, I was kinda hoping to avoid running in windowed mode but oh well lol...just out of curiosity is it normal for FS9 not to blank out the second screen?

>Thanks, I was kinda hoping to avoid running in windowed mode>but oh well lol...just out of curiosity is it normal for FS9>not to blank out the second screen? To be honest I really don't remember. It has been a long time since I ran FS9 but it seems to me that FS9 worked the same in full screen mode. R-

Run with "Dual View" not "Horizontal Span"George

I am currently running in dualview, no dice...i think i'm just going to disable my 2nd display when I play b/c FSX seems to become unstable and have weird graphical problems when its in dual screen (maybe a drive issue?)...anyway thanks for the suggestions guys!
