Lorby Time Machine - No flightplan in MSFS 2024 Career

Featured Replies

Hi Lorby! Absolutely love your tool and it works a treat, however I've been spending most of my time in MSFS career mode and it does not seem to recognise the flightplan when doing a career flight for some reason.

I have been using "TOD Calculator & Pause" which does work well but is inferior in terms of feature set. Hopefully there is a solution can be found! Let me know if I can help out with any logs or information. It occurs even with a fresh install of MSFS24 with nothing else on the system so should be reproducible.

Thanks,

Ben

I'm sorry, but I don't think that I can help with this. The app doesn't have a choice in this matter. It gets notified by the sim that a flight plan has been loaded, and then it makes the sim export it, so it can read the data.

It is entirely possible that Asobo prevents the sim from sharing this information, precisely for the reason that you can't "cheat" in carreer mode.

You would have to re-create the flight plan with an external tool and load it into the time machine manually.

Thanks so much for your response! That makes sense. MSFS does not allow you to save a career flight plan directly to file however it does allow you to save it to web (https://planner.flightsimulator.com/) and view all the details there. So odd they have added these restrictions. I will experiment and see if I can find a workflow that works.
