September 13, 2025Sep 13 I want to use an older Nvidia Game Controller for controlling walkaround mode and drone mode. I will only discuss walkaround mode in this thread. When I plug in a USB cable to the controller, it is recognized by MSFS 2024. However, when I try to make bindings for it, they don't come out right. Example: I pull up "Move Left" in the controls menu and then I assign it to the left direction of one of the hat-switch looking controls. All seems well at that point. But then I try to assign "Move Right" by moving that same controller switch to the right. But: MSFS assigns both the left and right bindings to the same thing, so I don't end up with two proper bindings. It's almost like that control is being considered an axis or something. That's just one example. I am having such a hard time getting anything set up properly for walkaround. Even using the default keyboard control file, the basic A-S-W-D keys are not even working. Can anyone shed any light on this issue? I am on MSFS 2024 SU4 Beta. However, this problem has been going on since I started trying to set up the controls for that Nvidia device. It is NOT related specifically to SU4 Beta.
