  1. Hi folks. So I am using MSFS 2024 and I have just started watching a great YouTube video on how to use Little Navmap. I have been able to follow everything along but there is something I do not understand. When I am in Little Navmap looking at my flight plan, the flight restrictions don't show any requirement over 5000 feet. The elevation map says that 3500 feet is a safe altitude. However, when I load that plan into the EFB (GA BONANZA G36), it shows the need to be at 26000 feet at some point in the plan. Why should that be? What don't I understand? Thanks.
  2. I really thought I understood about how to properly set up DLSS with the latest (310.7), and Preset M. However, since turning on the DLSS Swapper overlay, I have come to realize that I am not getting what I am trying to get. Firstly, I have the latest GPU driver (RTX 4090). It seems that I am not setting things right to get 310.7. The DLSS Swapper app says I have 310.7 loaded in MSFS 2024. However, the DLSS overlay in the program says I only have 310.6. I even downloaded and installed the DLSS 310.7 DLL and the MSFS 2024 overlay still says 310.6. I think between the DLS Swapper. the NVIDIA App, and NVIDIA Profile Inspector, I have got something wrong. Can someone either explain to me exactly how to set things up to get the latest DLSS file with either Preset L or M? I really need some help. Thanks.
  3. Thank you Monica. That work-around does indeed circumvent the issue for me as well. I'm sure something will fix it with some later update. But at least I can stay on the new code in the meanwhile. Many thanks.
  4. I have had to back off the update. That solves the problem of not being able to get into the second screen of settings. The problem of not being able to click Global Rendering on the Settings page was not resolved for me, even with a completely empty Community folder. I guess I will have to wait a while and try again. In the meanwhile I can contimue to emjoy SU5.
  5. Right now I am getting ready to bringup the sim without this new update just to make sure of whether it was specifically introduced with the update or whether something else is going on. The next thing I will try is what you suggest: empty Community folder.
  6. I do not. And I have a second problem: When I set the sim to "Windowed", I do not get windowed. There are no icons at the top (quit, minimize, maximize). Just like fullscreen.
  7. Since the update I cannot successfully click Global Rendering at the bottom of the first settings screen. I can click everything else except for that one item. And this is in both 2D and VR. Anyone else?

  9. I am getting flights suggested by your tool that include airports that Simbrief doesn't know. Is that supposed to happen?
  10. I like bowling, mini golf, table tennis, beat saber, synth riders. I like lots of other games too but those are some of my favorites. I am not familiar with the one you mentioned. I will have to look for it.
  11. Before I say anything else, let me say that I completely agree that you can't get the image from a Quest 3 that you can with a Pimax headset. However, before I got into virtual flying I loved playing stand alone games with the Quest 3 I had at the time. I sold that to help get the Crystal Light. While the image is very good in the sim, it's too heavy, I sweat like a pig in it, and it sucks to try to play PCVR games with movement while a cable is hanging off the back of your neck. So I went out and got another Quest 3. Set it up, still had the account with all the games I had purchased in the past, and installed them all again. What a pleasure to play Meta games again with no wires. I can go almost anywhere in my house and play games with it without having to move or change anything. And the Bobo S3 Pro headstrap with the built in fan is awesome. It really works. Yes, for flightsim its a compromise, but for me, its perfect. But ........ if any others of you are also using a Quest 3 for MSFS 2024, I would love to hear any tips, tricks, or anything that might help with setting it up optimally. I am using Virtual Desktop currently, so if you are, let me know how you configure the settings. Thanks.............
  12. I would like to get opinions as to what product, addon, utility, whatever, is the best at injecting lower altitude vfr traffic into the sim. Thanks .............
  13. Any chance you could get the Beachcraft Bonanza G36 into your system? It's a default aircraft. Thanks .....
  14. Your writeup says you can download the code to run localloy. How do you do that? I do not see a download link, unless I just missed it.
  15. Well I did something that I didn't expect any positive results: I have an extensive backup system for my computers so I can go back to any day for the last two months and reproduce everything I had. So I went back to the beginning of April and copied the Seafront files from then to my system in place of the files that were currently there. When I booted up again everythying was working again. Very confusing as I am not aware of any attempt to load new files during April. The only other thing I can think of is that in the package order, something may have changed when I re-loaded the older files in-lieu of the ones that were giving me trouble. At any rate, it is working now and I sincerely appreciate everyone who was willing to take the time to respond to me. Thank you everybody. Now on to the next problem :-).
  16. Do you have to set in-sim ship traffic? Seafronts web site said it was not necessary.
  17. Nothing is working. Even moved the files into the community folder instead of using dons linked but that didn’t help. Can someone help me?
  18. I don't know what is going on. I was previous;ly getting lots of ships from Seafront without having to do anything with the ship asetting in-sim. Now no matter what I do I am not getting any ships from Seafront. I have ensured that both the Core library and the Vessels addon are both in my library and enabled. I have with the in-sim ship setting turned off and also with it set to Ultra. I am hoping that lots of folks use this addon and that someone can suggest what I am doing wrong to cause this to stop working? Thanks ...........
  19. I promise I will read the lovingly crafted readme tonight. You are so awesome (and very diplomatic as well) LOL. THANK YOU.
  20. If I don’t use expert settings, just basic auto, should I still open gpu-z and rtss or are they not needed? And if I use AUTO, do I still set a max framerate somewhere or just let the app decide? And what about dynamic settings?
  21. You can open up the profile settings and click to apply that profile to all aircraft.
  22. I would like to know why certain things, like power towers, and others, shimmer so badly. I have tested with and without mamudesign powerlines. They look terrible and ruin the landscape. What do I need to do in order to stop that, if possible. I am running MSFS 2024 and I am using DLSS Quality. However, I have tried TAA and it wasn't any better. Any help here?
  23. I'm at my wits end about something: no matter what settings I use (SIM and autoFPS), I get terrible stutters from take off until about 500-600 ft up. I use a starting TLOD of 50 and OLOD of 100. Testing in both 2D and VR. Using Crystal Light when in VR. Currently testing with DLSS set to Balanced. Frames capped in-sim at 35 and Dynamic settings turned on at 35fps. 7800X3D, RTX 4090, 64Gb of 6000 ram. I am not using an airliner. I am doing all my flying right now in the Beachcraft Bonanza G36, cruising at about 3000 feet. I should also add that my Community folder has nothing in it except a couple of needed utilities and Navigraph. I removed everything else for testing. Everything seems like its doing very well, except for those takeoffs to about 600 ft. I have tried at KLAS, KJFK,and KMIA so far. autoFPS settings: General: Fixed, NFR or VR, FPS: 35, Flight type: VFR, FPS Sensitivity, Sens 5, TLOD base min: 50@1000ft, 800@6000, Extra 1.5, TLOD Top Max: 800@6000, AutoLOD Base: 100@2000, OLOD Top: 20@10000 I akm hoping someone can tell me what to try to get takeoffs under control instead of stutter fests. Thanks all.
