  1. Hi folks. About a week ago I read about installing a newer version of DLSS in the sim. I did that but now when I open the sim I see some display lines of text about the DLSS in the lower left of my screen. Is there a way to make those text lines go away? Thanks..........
  2. worldtour.flights Hundreds of flight plans and filters to specify where you want to fly and how long a flight plan you want to use.
  3. When I tried to change the I/O Priority to Critical I got a message saying that was reserved for system processes and it wouldn't allow me to set it. Did you have to do anything special to get your system to accept "Critical"? I am on Windows 11, are you? Thanks
  4. Could someone please take a minute and explain to me where/how I get airport maps so I can see taxiways, etc? I want to learn to follow instructions given by ATC but I don't know where to get the airport maps so I can look them up. Thanks
  5. Do any third party addons understand helicopters vs fixed wing aircraft?
  6. Hi folks. I was wondering if the in-sim ATC system knows the difference when you are in a helicopter and will take off straight up, vs a fixed wing aircraft? Thanks
  7. Hi folks. I already have a thread about not getting any ATC voices (or copilot voices) once I spawn into the cockpit (I get them before hitting the final FLY button. I have not been able to fix that problem. I have tried all kinds of settings and all kinds of aircraft but I have absolutely no ATC messages being spoken. Don't know what else to try. My question today however is that the ATC panel is not offering me any message suggestions to select like it used to. Can anyone tell me something I might need to do in order to get those ATC message choices displayed again?
  8. My problem is a little different. Mine doesn't cut out during a flight. Mine doesn't work at all while I am still on the ground and just spawned into the cockpit. I noticed just this evening that when I click fly from the world map and get to that first screen with another FLY button, if I just sit on that screen and don't click FLY I can hear all ATC traffic both ways. But the moment I click FLY and spawn to a cockpit, no more ATC. And I have tried with several fixed wing planes and helicopters as well. Same scenario for all. Very frustrating after building a powerful gaming machine and installing everything new with latest versions of everything. Ok, not the end of the world, but I am just a casual user of this and the built-in stuff for me is usually sufficient. I would, of course, like it to work.
  9. Even completely uninstalled the sim and then reinstalled it from scratch but still no ATC.
  10. Been there, done that. No luck. Thanks anyway.
  11. Thanks for the info but I don't have any AI traffic of any kind running. I am just trying to learn to fly sim helicopters (not real ones :-).
  12. So no more ideas folks? Very frustrating.
  13. I have my sim set to Offline. I have tried everything but I still have no atc voices inbound or outbound. Oty suggestuher sounds all seem to be working. I cannot find any more suggestions on the web that I haven't already tried. I just can't find the problem.
  14. In my case restarting the sim is not helping.
  15. Hey everyone. I finally broke down and rebuilt my computer with some great components, reusing what I could from the old 3090 build. So everything is brand new, from the Windows 11 Pro system and down to every application I had before (Phew!). MSFS is working great with the new build, but I noticed two things either odd, or I just don't remember how to adjust: 1. There are no ATC voices. The ATC window is working fine. I went all through the assistance options and I thought I had the right one(s) turned on but no voices. I have the sim and Windows sound device selected correctly. I can hear the engine and cockpit sounds, just no ATC. 2. I seem to remember that you could set something, maybe somewhere in the Assistance options, so that the ATC messages were responded to by, maybe the invisible copilot? Thanks, as always ........... Rob
  16. I would like to know how to do that effectively as well. Please PM me the suggestion. Thanks.
  17. MSFS did NOT take away the FPS counter. It's just not on by default in Developer Mode. If you turn on Developer Mode and go to the top left of the screen you will see a dropdown called Debug. In there is where you turn the FPS counter back on if you want it.
  18. Here is a link to the device: https://pro-flight-trainer.com/5th-generation-puma-x-flight-control-solutions/ Windows recognizes the device and I used Windows 11 to calibrate it when I first got it. The device is listed under active devices in the Hardware Blacklist menu. UPDATE: OK, not sure what changed, but I rebooted my PC and when I brought everything back up, now the device is recognized and I can assign things. Go figure :-). Thanks for communicating with me about it. Seems all is well now.
  19. I did not try the demo version because I had already purchased the full product for use with my Honeycomb devices. I tried moving some axes and pushing some buttons but it appears your app knows nothing about this device. That's really too bad. Oh well.
  20. Hi folks. I am a brand new user of Axis and Ohs. I have started reading the documentation but haven't gotten that far yet. This morning I was playing around with trying to start allocating the axis and buttons on my new Pro Flight Trainer Puma X helicopter controller. When I opened the dialogue for a new axis and went to device, I only saw keyboard, mouse, and voice. I did not see the PUMA. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get the application to see that device? If it doesn't work with the Puma I will not be able to use it at all. Thanks...... Rob
  21. Hi folks. Does MSFS still only use the last processor for the Main Thread? I had read about diverting all other work to processors other than the last and reserving the last for MSFS. Is this still relevent? Thanks .... Rob
  22. I love this forum because for any issue/question you have, you are able to get a cross section of ideas/suggestions from folks who understand what you're talking about. After reading this suggestion, I ran Memtest86+ for about 6 hours on my system (4 full passes). In that time the program recorded 680 errors (ugh!). Rather than starting right off removing DIMMs and swapping DIMMs, I went into my BIOS, and changed the memory settings from XMP to AUTO. I then re-ran Memtest86+ for another 6 hours. It did not record a single error in that time. So I guess even though the memory I have is rated to a speed of 4000, my motherboard/system could apparently not handle it. Since changing it my system is running so much better. It's amazing that other programs did not do weird things from the memory errors. Last night I put the sim on the home screen and it stayed there, fully functional, for over 10 hours. So I am a happy camper. Thanks to all the great people in this forum that are always willing to take a minute to respond to your inquiries. I love this group :-).
  23. Hi folks. Recently my MSFS system has started crashing even while not flying. I can bring the system up to the home screen and let it sit there. After some time (5-15 minutes) it just crashes. When I look at the Windows event viewer (I am using Windows 11) it shows the famous 00000005 code with no other useful information other than that the offending module was the flightsim module. If I bring up the sim without using MSFS Addons Linker (i.e. no mods in Community folder), the same thing happens so it's not a mod. I am kind of at a loss at how to diagnose this and make any progress. Ideas? Thanks.
  24. I am curious, why is it biased? I was just curious how many people are invested in VR use of MSFS vs how many are using display monitors. How is that biased?
