I'm having trouble re the above.

Example I downloaded FC Scenery France to my external hard drive, then using winrar started to extract the files, we get to part 17rar,

then the an.agn files start extracting, this is the problem they never stop I'm showing 01300000313230an.agn and still going now for

22 and a half hours, which seems a little excessive. The green bottom line of winrar states 100% processed, but winrar will not close.

I do not wont to canx the process, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that doesn't sound quite right. Can you see the file size in your folder? -  France is about 165Gb, perhaps check the drive isn't full? I don't use WinRAR, I use 7-Zip, but I think the prinicple is the same. You should have all the .rar files in the same folder. Then just right click on the first one and select "open with" and select WinRAR and it will then extract all the .rar files into Scenery and Texture folders for you to install.
