Landing gear suspension animation lost

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,I textured and named my wheels so they rotate and lost the shock / suspension frames 100 - 200 animation effect in FS2002. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks,Rotorhead.

I can't remember where I read it exactly, but I beleive the tutorial suggests that you always texture and make any modifications to the model before animating it. So in other words, animation should be left for absolute last.

Yeah, I've been fooling with that for the last couple days. I found that the way to do it is to link the rotating wheel to the suspension part that moves in compression or rotation. I found animating the wheel directly in frames 100-200 just causes problems. Keep in mind that I am an absolute novice at this, so this may be terrible advice. All I can say is I am able to retain reliable suspension effects in this manner. Kaydub
