Microsoft is nothing but **** these days.  It started en masse when they canned their QA dept over a decade ago, and it continues today with subpar devs and also relying on infant AI for current day coding.

They are at a crossroads and users, both home and corporate, are not going to tolerate the absolute junk they are pushing out.  MS is a shadow of their former selves.  They became arrogant, complacent, and lazy.  I could tell you story after story from my 30 year career in IT how they were petulant bullies when it came to licensing and ownership of their self-created issues.

Personally, I'm all for a global transition to Linux.  I'll cheer the day when MS has been reduced to irrelevance.
