December 6, 2025Dec 6 Hi there, may you help me to understand how to "connect" AAO and Sioc? I mean how to start a AAO script reading a specific Fsuipc variable. I need that to interface my Opencockpit Hardware thru AAo and Ifly Max. Thanks Arnaldo

AAO reads and writes the events and variables that are defined in the simulators SDK and the custom variables that the aircraft developers invented in their behavior and simulation code. They are different for every sim (=what simulator are we talking about?) and the custom variables are different for every aircraft. LORBY-SI
December 8, 2025Dec 8 Author Hi, thanks for reply first. SIOC is a script language used from Opencockpits to interface with his Hardware like MCP, EFIS ec. ecc. I'm tryng to figure out how interface my Opencockpits hardware (like my Efis) with Ifly Max. I found from AI, there is a way to write to a custom FSUIPC Offset, read that thru AAO, than run a script to write to a LVariable to Ifly. I'm using Msfs 2020. Thanks

Thanks AAO does not understand SIOC nor is it compatible with it. I am very sure that in AAO you would only get the input from the Opencockpits switches and buttons (if at all) but nothing can be sent out to them (displays and LEDs remain dark) "custom FSUIPC Offsets" only exist in FSUIPC, nowhere else. With AAO you would have to work with proper simulator variables as specified in the simulator SDK and the behavior/animation/simulation code that the aircraft developer made. 1 hour ago, Bagarie2 said: I found from AI Latest stats say that 85% of all AI answers are doubtful and 45% and plain wrong. This sounds like one of the 45% to me. Edited December 8, 2025Dec 8 by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
