Concorde Repaint Help

Featured Replies

Guys,I'm repainting a Concorde in British Airways Union Flag colours and have a small problem with a texture which is covering the visor bay when the visor is down, this means I cannot view the visor in it's down possition from out side the aircraft. I have seen this texture removed on a previous repaint. Attemps to contact it's author have been unsuccessful. I hope some of you may be able to assist me. Check the visor bay area on the picture below.http://flightcraft.avsim.net/Screenshots/ConcordeFive.jpgBest Regards,Adam NardoneFlightCraft

Adam, If the model itself has a call for a texture for the visor bay and the texture itself was just deleted ( leaving no reference to the texture name ) you could use either: 1. A Hex-editor to look at the model and find all instances of .bmp ( or other, .0af, .1af etc... ) or 2. Use MDL2BGL to create a scasm source and search for .bmp, .0af, .1af etc.. to find the name. Roman, Thanks for your suggestion but I don't think it solves the problem. I have noticed that this texture covering the bay is actually part of the main gear strut. I then looked at the "Real Concorde" textures by Adnane Bourja avaliable here at AVSIM and noticed that the gear textures were still there even though he had somehow managed to make the texture covering the visor bay disapear leaving the visor visable even in it's down possition. There must be a way but I'm affraid I lack the knowledge to do such a task.Regards,Adam NardoneFlightCraft
