The South of England Part III

Featured Replies

We continue our tour through southern England.

We depart from Fowlmere (EGMA) and turn southeast to reach our first landing, Earls Colne (EGSR). Just 8 miles west, we arrive at Andrewsfield (EGSL). We stay in the east of London and land at North Weald (EGSX), Stapleford (EGSG), and Damyns Hall (EGML) before heading east. We land at Thurrock (EGMT) and Southend (EGMC) before turning south again.

We land at Rochester (EGTO) and overfly the Archbishop's Palace and Leeds Castle before reaching Headcorn (EGKH). Further south, we visit Bodiam Castle and Herstmonceux Castle and finish the flight at Lydd (EGMD).

The flight is 153 miles long and has 9 landings. The C172 or C182, the Piper P28, or the DA-40 / DA-42 are examples of suitable aircraft. I will probably be in the COWS DA-40 or DA-42. As always, please fly what you like.

The flight plans are here.

Additional scenery:

Except for Lydd (EGMD), all other airfields are available as payware from / via ORBX.

As freeware is available:

Fowlmere EGMA modern

or

Fowlmere EGMA WWII

Earls Colne EGSR

North Weald EGSX

Stapleford EGSG

Damyns Hall EGML

Please set your simulator for a 1 pm local departure. We try real weather.
