September 9, 200223 yr Hi to all.Is it possible to create a .exe gauge file in wich we could start outside FS?I mean if you wanted to run a gauge in a second pc using for instance Wideserver in a network would it be possible to create this kind of gauge?Regards,Pedro
September 11, 200223 yr Yes it is possible. It would no longer be called a gauge, though. Check out Project Magenta. It is exactly what you are talking about.Matt Matt KaprockiFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
September 11, 200223 yr I know PM but I'm building a CRJ cockpit and PM only has software for Boeing and Airbus and Enrico said that for now theren't any plans to build versions of other civil aircraft. So I wanted to create something like the Radio panel in the CRJ where you have lots of info on COMS (just like the Radio in the Lear that comes with FS)Regards,Pedro
September 11, 200223 yr It can be done, check out the FSUIPC SDK, it has details on just how to do it.Basically your program would load as a child window of the FS window. Its been done several times before, besides Project Magenta, EFIS98, Navdash, and Squawkbox used the same technique. This can be done in either C/C++ or Visual Basic; Delphi I believe is also possible.Ernie.
September 11, 200223 yr Ok. Thanks I remember something like Netpipes or so. It will send some FS instances to another PC if I remember.I'll take a look into that SDK.Regards,Pedro
