Odd startup issues with SPAD.neXt

I'm having what seems to be some kind of initialization issues with SPAD in MSFS.  When I first get in a plane, my Saitek switch panel does nothing the first time I flip a switch.  Once I've toggled something - anything - all seems to be well.  I also note that some functions don't fully work when I load with a profile until I go into SPAD, switch to another profile and then switch back to the proper one.  This issue seems to crop up on all of my Blacksquare planes with whatever I use to control the parking brake.

I'm probably missing something simple here, but I'm not sure what.
