Laptop for p3d

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm trying to decide between 2 laptops for p3d within my budget. The first laptop is a Dell xps 9510, it has an i7 11800h processor, with an rtx 3050 45watts, 16gb ram, and 512gb ssd. The second option is a razer blade 2019, it has an i7 9750h, gtx 1660ti 80 watts, 16gb ram, and 512 gb ssd. The xps has a much better cpu, but the razer has the better gpu. I have p3d v4. I wish I can go for something more powerful, but that's all I can afford

Hey mate

Are you running the sim on the laptop display or are you plugging it into a separate monitor/TV to output the display?

Its been a while since I've used P3D (especially version 4) but I think I'd be looking for the higher performing CPU as my recollection is it is far more CPU intensive than GPU intensive....particularly if you're running at 1080p. If  you had the option to go to 32GB RAM that would be my other advice.

I'd be running on the laptop's display, and it's 1080p. I'm planning on updating the ram to 32gb too
