It has been quite the ongoing learning curve, requiring lots of YT video time, reading of informative posts, etc. A few current questions / issues regarding the sim that I have not been able to completely understand / answer are the following: (My PC specs are Intel Ultra 9 285K, RTX 5090, 64MB RAM, 4TB HD). Thank you very much for any comments / help. 1) How does the sim handle the display of cockpit views? I have assigned many custom camera views to the numeric keyboard and a scrolling POV to the hat button on my T16000M joystick. The sim recognizes these individual view assignments fine, however when in sim and switching from one keyboard view to the other it will often times not display the requested view but instead a random undefined cockpit view or revert to the pre-defined default cockpit view (i.e. the view when you Shift + C into the aircraft). I do not utilize a head tracking device so especially during take-off and landing being able to accurately switch views is important to controlling and maneuvering the aircraft. Additionally, sometimes after selecting a keyboard view I may "scroll" that view a bit by utilizing the POV hat switch, when I then want to return to a pre-defined keyboard view the sim almost always takes me back to the pre-defined default cockpit view. I am using MSFS 2024 completely vanilla, the aircraft I am currently flying to learn the sim are the Piper Dakota, the Cessna 402 and the INI A320N v2. Are the view display anomalies due to these "default" aircraft being buggy, i.e were I to purchase a Black Square, Fenix, etc. type aircraft the issue would disappear....or could this be a MSFS 2024 bug? My PC specs are pretty high-end, I do get high 30s to 80s fps without any FG so my guess is that I am not experiencing a PC performance issue. 2) Airport weather reporting is very inconsistent. I have found oftentimes a significant disparity between weather reported via the in-sim EFB, the INI A320 EFB, ATIS reported weather, and the actual weather encountered when landing. 3) When using external view many times the view appears to be similar to a "fisheye" view from a camera wide angle lens. Is there a sim setting I can adjust to eliminate this? Thank you again very much.
