Custom EXE.XML...

Featured Replies

I don't have that many addons but those I have installed in MSFS 2024 create entries in the "exe.xml" under the "LocalCache" folder.

As I don't like to load specific aircraft apps when in my session I am not going to use that aircraft, say, a Fenix, an FSLabs or the iFly 737 MAX, I created a simple BAT file that I run from a shortcut :

@echo off

set /p xpto=What aircraft?:

copy /Y "exe-%xpto%.xml" "exe.xml"

echo Copied exe-%xpto%.xml to exe.xml

In that same folder I have as many versions of exe.xml as aircraft that create their own entries in that file, in my case:

"exe-fenix.xml", "exe-ifly.xml" and "exe-fslabs.xml"

each with only the section for the specific aircraft.

Yet, as I always want to use, say, RealTurb CAT Areas, that particular section is replicated in all of the files.
