8 hours ago8 hr Hi,relatively new P3D user here. I have installed Orbx EU England scenery and Aerosoft Manchester. When I land at Manchester, I see duplicate runway markings, .e.g., a 05L and a 06L, in slightly different positions and the runway markings are duplicated/offset. I assume that the runway details are coming from the two sceneries being displayed at the same time? Can anyone please advise what I need to do to resolve this (without completely deleting one of the sceneries)regardsDave
5 hours ago5 hr Moderator @stevendt, the Manchester runway designations changed in 2007.Both ORBX and Aerosoft products were released after that date. Disable each and it should become obvious which product is showing the old designations. Ray (Cheshire, England). 4 hours ago4 hr Author Hi Ray,thanks a lot for taking the time to reply.Assuming that I identify the one that has the wrong designation, do I need to completely disable that scenery? That is going to lead to either losing the rest of the country details from EU England (if it's the Orbx product) or losing the enhanced EGCC airport scenery (if it's the Aerosoft airport). Or can I selectively "hide" incorrect elements of the scenery?regardsDave
4 hours ago4 hr Moderator It’s a strange one Dave as both were released after 2007. Disable each in turn and see what changes. P3Dv5 will have correct designations. The others should have too. 3 hours ago3 hr Author Hi Ray,thanks, I will try this tomorrow when I can get to the sim.I'm still struggling to see how I can (permanently) disable one of the products without losing other functionality, i.e., the rest of the Orbx EU England scenery or the Aerosoft EGCC scenery. Is this situation suggesting that I can't have both installed ?regardsDave
2 hours ago2 hr You should be able to identify the specific file causing it and then just disabling that file (e.g. changing the .bgl to .off) i9 14900K / Corsair Nautilus RS ARGB liquid CPU Cooler / MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi / 64GB Trident DDR5 RAM @ 7200 mhz / 24GB Gainward 3090 Geforce RTX / 2 TB SSD WD Black SN850X NVMe / 1 TB SSD Samsung 990 Pro series / 2 TB SSD Samsung 980 Pro Series / 500 gb and 250 gb SSD Samsung Evo 850 / RM1000W Corsair PSU - P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 12, X-Plane 11 and FSX

As I said at the start, I'm pretty much a newbie with P3D, I take it that these ".bgl" files are in the installed scenery directories and will have meaningful names that I can associate with specific features of the scenery, such as runway identifiers, runway markings, taxiway markings etc.?regardsDave
39 minutes ago39 min Moderator Dave, a single file contains all the relevant info for each airport. They’re known as AFCADs. There’s a free program that allows users to edit the data and recompile it.The name won’t necessarily be obvious but we should be able to identify it. One of the advantages of P3D. No such utility exists for MSFS. 😉 Ray (Cheshire, England).
