Briefy — The SimBrief Panel - MSFS Add-on - Flightsim.to

✓ For Microsoft Flight Simulator: Briefy is an in-game toolbar panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator providing direct access to your SimBrief Operational Flight Plan in the cockpit. It features a movin

SimBrief OFP Viewer, Moving Map, Waypoint Teleport, Live METAR/TAF, and Live Sim Weather — all inside Microsoft Flight Simulator

Briefy is a powerful in-game toolbar panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator that brings your complete SimBrief Operational Flight Plan (OFP) directly into the cockpit.

No need to switch to a browser, tablet, or second monitor. Access your latest SimBrief dispatch, flight information, fuel and payload planning, weather briefings, an interactive route map, and waypoint teleport tools without ever leaving the simulator.

Formerly released as "The Brief Panel." v2.0 is a full rebrand to Briefy, with a new dashboard, airline logos, country flags, and live in-sim weather.

What's New in v2.0

  • 🆕 OVERVIEW dashboard tab — at-a-glance tiles for flight, route, cruise, block fuel, payload, and winds

  • 🆕 Airline logos — the operating carrier's logo is shown automatically from its ICAO code (500+ airlines bundled)

  • 🆕 Country flags — your aircraft's registration country flag appears next to the tail number

  • 🆕 Live SIM CONDITIONS + synthetic METAR — real-time wind, OAT/TAT, QNH, visibility, and cloud/precip pulled straight from the sim

  • 🆕 Live NOAA METAR/TAF refresh — per-station GET buttons, no API keys required

  • 🆕 Units & UI size options — auto/kg/lbs and Small/Normal/Large/XL scaling

  • 🆕 RAW font zoom — A- / A+ buttons and Ctrl+Scroll on the PLAN tab

  • 🆕 Ground teleport — JUMP now snaps to real runway terrain

  • 🆕 New amber theme with a vertical tab rail

Key Features

✈️ SimBrief OFP Integration

Instantly download and display your latest SimBrief flight plan directly inside MSFS — airline & flight number, aircraft type & registration, departure/arrival/alternate airports, cruise altitude, Cost Index, planned flight time, full routing string, and dispatch information. Perfect for realistic airline operations.

📋 OVERVIEW Tab

A clean dashboard of your entire flight at a glance: flight number, airline logo, aircraft, origin → destination, alternate, cruise level, block fuel, TOW, payload, passenger count, and average winds. Everything you need before pushback.

📄 BRIEF Tab

The full summary: airline & flight number (with logo), aircraft, registration with country flag, origin, destination, alternate, cruise, Cost Index, air time, and the complete route string.

LOAD Tab

All major fuel and weight planning figures from SimBrief:

  • Block, Extra, Reserve (FINRES), and Alternate (ALTN) fuel

  • FINRES + ALTN calculation

  • Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW), Takeoff Weight (TOW), Estimated Landing Weight (ELW)

  • Payload, Cargo, and Passenger / Baggage count

🌦 WX Tab

Stay current with live aviation weather throughout your flight:

  • Average, Top of Climb, and Top of Descent winds & temperatures (with ISA deviation)

  • Departure & Arrival METAR and TAF, each with a GET button that pulls fresh data straight from NOAA Aviation Weather (no API keys)

  • SIM CONDITIONS (LIVE) — wind, OAT/TAT, QNH, visibility, and cloud/precip read directly from the sim

  • synthetic METAR generated from the live sim conditions

SimBrief weather goes stale after dispatch — refresh any station individually for accurate, up-to-the-minute conditions on long-haul flights.

🗺 ROUTE Tab

A fully interactive moving map built into the sim, powered by Leaflet with OpenStreetMap tiles:

  • Full route drawn from the OFP navlog

  • Departure (green) and destination (red) markers

  • Live aircraft position marker that rotates to match your heading

  • Zoom and pan controls, with auto-follow

Smart follow: the map tracks your aircraft automatically. Drag or zoom and auto-follow pauses; press CENTER to instantly re-fit the whole route.

📄 PLAN (Raw OFP) Tab

View the complete raw SimBrief OFP exactly as generated, with section-title highlighting and adjustable font size (A- / A+ or Ctrl+Scroll). Great for flight planning, route verification, fuel checks, dispatch review, and VATSIM operations.

📍 JUMP (Teleport) Tab

A unique utility for flight testing, content creators, and route exploration. Every waypoint from your SimBrief route is listed — departure airport, SID waypoints, enroute fixes, STAR waypoints, and destination. Press GO to instantly reposition the aircraft at the selected fix at its planned altitude, now snapping to real runway terrain at airports.

Excellent for flight training, approach practice, YouTube content creation, route testing, and aircraft development. Best used while paused or in slew mode with engines stable.
