HI guys, still learning the ropes but have an interesting find...

I have Map Enhancement Pro and SimHeaven etc and works well...

Just loaded into YSSY with the Tai Models scenery for the airport... when i zoom out, the surrounding area looks bland and appears like the default scenery even though Map Enhancement is working... now, when i zoom out to a couple thousand feet, the scenery looks like its ortho and looks good... but as i get lower the buildings disappear and the land becomes barren again! Its very odd!

Brian helped me wonderfully before... Ive copied my ini file for the gurus to check that i haven't put something where it shouldn't be...

Thanks for any help chaps!

NB** sorry that i had to copy the entire ini file, i dont know how to make an attachment! Doh! One more thing to learn eh!

Suggestion would be to get xorganizer. I have used it for years.

I shall look at that indeed... thanks for the tip..

I also think i solved the issue by disabling the custom mesh... now i have ortho back...

Cheers

You need to move Global Forests V2 down to beneath the Xworld listings.

AEP probably needs to go above Global airports.

OpenSAM Library should go below your Xworld stuff. Best to group libraries, for ease of viewing and checking.

Your Sydney Landmarks may be interfering with your Sydney ORBX package. Try disabling the landmark.

SCENERY_PACK_DISABLED Custom Scenery/X-Plane Landmarks - Saint Louis/ - cut and paste this with your other landmarks, just to be neat and tidy.

Agree, those meshes were probably not helping. Meshes and overlays are usually not needed when running XWorld.

XOrganiser is fine, but most useful with a good understanding of scenery.ini ordering.

I recommend the ORBX Melbourne package, if you're into Oz. Great rendition. Add Live Traffic at your peril. Unless you really know what you're doing in a tubeliner, you'll be so busy you'll wish you'd stuck to a Cessna 172.

Thanks for that info Brian! Ive tidied up my ini file and looks much cleaner..

Melbourne sound great! I have YMML in MSFS and is a great airport to fly in and out of... I do use real traffic incidentally and love the 'real life' immersion it gives... another challenge to engage in!

Many thnaks

Doug

Happy to help.
