I've noticed an intermittent connection issue between MSFS 2024, AAO and the Stream Deck plugin. If I start the session with all the apps "fresh", there are usually no issues. If I shut down MSFS 2024 but leave AAO and Stream Deck running, when I restart MSFS 2024 (setting AAO to connect to the Sim first) many of my Stream Deck keys don't work.

Is this expected behavior that requires all the apps to be shut down before restarting MSFS 2024? If not, what steps can I take to try to troubleshoot the issue?

Shutting down AAO, yes. Restarting StreamDeck, no.

What version of the plugin is that exactly and which version of AAO?

Assuming that the version numbers are included in the file names, the plugin is 60.02 and AAO is 4.58.

The version of AAO is visible in the window header.

The version of the plugin can be determined by right-clicking an Action of that plugin in the list to the right of the StreamDeck dialog (for example, right-click on "Button" or "Event" - a context menu will reveal the version number of the plugin)

In any case, neither version is known to cause trouble like this. You should stick to them, and don't update unless you have to. AAO should be started and shut down with the sim, that is always a good strategy. It shouldn't be necessary to shut down (using the system tray!) and restart the StreamDeck software, that seems odd. Maybe try switching to a different SD profile, that doesn't have AAO actions on it, and back?
