In the same place the 04.cfg is found (Mine is:C:Documents and SettingsBLAH BLAH BLAHApplication DataMicrosoftFS9 XP ) this address is normaly a hidden file.. So if you cannot find it change your tools/folder options setting.. But anyway in the aircraft folder residing there are listings for the aircraft including add ons. Inside that are text files that hold the elapsed time engines have run..There are also some A: vars that monitor this..
