August 6, 200421 yr The Military AI Project (MAIP) has the goal of developing frame rate friendly AI packages to populate the MSFS skies with military aircraft, including tankers, cargo, training, VIP and combat types. The project will attempt to use existing models (and new ones as they are released) with many repaints to represent various units of the military. The current plan is to release packages for each major command (ACC, AETC, AMC, ANG, AFRES, USAFE, PACAF, generally in that order. The packages will include aircraft, repaints, AFCAD files and basic flights. MAIP does not attempt to recreate every unit nor every flight...rather, the goal is to provide representative flights and aircraft from most units. As of now there are no plans to develop new models as part of MAIP, mostly due to my lack of knowledge in that area, but modelers are of course very welcome and highly desired.B. August 7, 200421 yr That's quite an interesting webpage you have. Topics like "Elderly drivers" and "Axis of Evil" blend seamlessly into topics like "Flight Simulator" and "Fishing". :)- Martin My site: www.martinstrong.com/FS_Project.htm
August 9, 200421 yr Author http://www.flightsimmer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=134Good luck, the more the better. I helped to get a unit started with AlphaSim, but it didn't pan out. Since then I've been too busy in Racing Sims and WWIIOL...got burnt out a bit on FS. Back soon I'm sure though...
