passengers cabin lights linked to nav-light?

Featured Replies

Hi fellow simmers,I'm getting more and more complaints that above 10.000 ft - when the landing lights are off - misbehavior takes place in the passengers cabin because the cabin lights are also off...Currently the texture showing cabin lights on are linked to the landing lights. I rather would have those linked to the navigation lights... Is this determined by the model or by FS?If it's programmed in the model, I would like to know if this can be changed by a hex-editor like UltraEdit and what string/code do I look for?I'm using the Boeing 737-800 with winglets by Eric CantuThanx heaps in advance,Arjanhttp://starbreeze.knoware.nl/~nick/NCC/htm....php?id=fs-b738

Open the _LM.bmp and change the alpha channel from white to black.

Hi Bill,Thanx for your response. I gave the textures a closer look and the texture showing the fuselage in color has the windows colored black in the alpha already. The other texture (with the landinglight-splash on the fuselage) is a normal 16 bit bmp without alpha, black background and splash/windows in white.I guess it's not the texture itself, but the circumstances when it is visible. This texture (with the splash) is only visible when landing lights are on.Probably there should be an extra texture like it, with black background, white windows but without the splash that should be visible when nav-lights are on.But that would be more work than simply changing one bit in the model...Maybe I'll need to learn how to do models myself to fix this, or have to find Eric Cantu willing to change it.Greetz, Arjan

Then it must be another problem. All "lightmask textures" (_L.bmp for a/c) use the alpha channel's color to determine which electrical bus to use for display:black = nav lightswhite = landing lights
