Need help getting into GMAX ...literally!

Recommended Posts

I'd like to include myself as the pilot of my plane. I have a digital camera, PSP-9, and GMAX. Early attempts are promising but distorted, and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me before I spend a lot of time and beer on this...Thanks!RobertMe in the real-life versionhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/128954.jpg

You will need four angles: face, left profile, right profile, and back of head. You can then UVW Map your pilot's head using the same four angles, and then use your photoshop program to 'blend' the intersections of the individual sections. On your bitmap sheet, line up "right profile" - "face" - "left profile" and make sure that all three are scaled appropriately. If you are going to be wearing a headset, then you need not be too concerned with any ear detail! ;)
