June 20, 200619 yr Hi!I'm building a plane in 3dsmax and I've exported it to a .x file. But when makemdl tries to make the .x file to a .mdl file it saysmy plane has an error.ERROR LOGStart! (C:gmaxgamepacksfs2004pluginsEurocub.X)Loading X C:gmaxgamepacksfs2004pluginsEurocub.X...Processing...ERROR: Scaling null has a translation, ignoring itERROR: found scale animation (Group01)Error!Error!I've tried to reset scale but it doesn't work =/Thanks in advance Freddan
June 20, 200619 yr Author Moderator You must "ungroup" and then locate the PART that has the "scale animation" error. In doing so, you run the risk of creating an "OBED Scaling Error" but that at least won't prevent your model from compiling. To eliminate errors in the future, do not "group" parts, as the FS9 export module does not play nicely with them at all. Note that in the FS9 Modeling SDK, "linking" is the recommended way to organize your model's parts. Fr. June 20, 200619 yr Hey, thanks for the fast answer.I ungrouped the group and found out that it was the fuselage that had the error. I tried to reset the scale but it still doesn't work. And the fuselage doesn't have a scale animation.Start! (C:gmaxgamepacksfs2004pluginsEurocub.X)Loading X C:gmaxgamepacksfs2004pluginsEurocub.X...Processing...ERROR: Scaling null has a translation, ignoring itERROR: found scale animation (fuselage)Error!Error! Thanks in advanceFreddan
June 21, 200619 yr Author Moderator Somehow, your fuselage part 'inherited' an animation scale from something else... :)Try applying an X-Form modifier to your fuselage, and then use Reset Scale...
