FSX SDK & 3D Studio Max 9 plugins?

Featured Replies

Hi,I have a full version of 3D Studio Max 9 and still I am waiting for some plugins from ACES Studios. Instead I am forced to work with gMax which was made many year ago and leaves a lot to be desired on the compatibility front when it comes to using it with Windows Vista.Come on ACES or Microsoft, when can we expect to see an update to the SDK to allow 3ds Max 9 users to create for flight simulator on a professional level? You can be sure that ACES will provide support for Max9 if and when they ever upgrade themselves.....which may be as soon or as long from now as anyone can guess. On the other hand, don't sell GMax short. It matters not one whit what any program is capable of accomplishing, if the platform for which development is made doesn't support the results.FS won't support a lot of the things GMax is capable of creating, so what's the attraction of further increasing the number of unsupported possibilities? :-lol I have - and use - a legal copy of Max8 I've had for years, but quite frankly, most of the time I still use GMax simply because I much prefer the Material Editor and - most especially - the Material Library! No tool is worth more than the art and skill of the toolholder... :-beerchug
