I add the name "FriendlyName" and a generated GUID sans '{}' per SDK directions to the custom file properties, but then on export to an .X file Max tells me there is no GUID, and the export module fails (although a .X file is generated).I haven't done this in awhile. What am I missing?Patrick

Why are you doing things the hard way? Simply use the "LOD Name" tool as designed. It will automatically create a "Friendly Name" and GUID for you with one button click... ;)The SDK "instructions" are obsolete and need to be updated to keep up with the tool's capabilities.
