Gauge incompatibility

Featured Replies

Hi there, how can I make sure that a gauge I add to an existing panel works? For example, I added a flap indicator gauge to a panel, it works. However I try that with an analog altimeter, it does not.I'm trying to figure out why.Regards,

In short - you can't. The flap indicator may be using the FS flap variables only, so it will work on any panel. The analog altimeter may have a custom variable that is passed from another part of the aircraft systems as part of its working, so if you do not know what that variable is (and there is no way of finding out short of asking the author and then coding a new gauge to provide the variable) the gauge will not work. -Dai

Yes, I also tried with further gauges, sometimes it worked. But it was worth the try.Thankyou for the reply.Regards,
