July 19, 200223 yr When you have converted an object to Editable Mesh is there any way to go back and change the dimensions of the object (besides the scale function). It seems that when you have used the Edit Mesh you lose the keyboard dimension entry modifiers.ThanksShez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
July 19, 200223 yr Hi Shez I know at least in 3ds Max one can use the "absolute transform type in although I've not used it in gmax as of yet but from what I understand a mesh will "lose" it scaleing if you usesay the unifrorm scale tool although the program does of course "know how large your object is based on the size of the object was before you scaled it the first time as that info is pased down the pgms internal stack. One simple thing you can do is of course is to allways use grid based on the mesh's size in the real world. Hope this is of sme help Dan http://members.rogers.com/klasik2/danlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/eelvish/flyurl.gif
