VATSIM Help!

Featured Replies

This might be off topic, I'm not sure but can anyone tell me where I can find a good training website for VATSIM piloting. From what I've seen so far on their website, it seems to be mostly geared towards Pro Controller and ATC.I'm just starting out, and want to get a head start on this as I am anxious to try it out. Thanks for your help.

Hiwww.ivao.org has a nice training department. Try that one. Take careMike

Depends what you want, reading or 'hands on'For 'ground school' and other knowledge try herehttp://www.vatsim-uk.net/vatsim-uk/ and click on 'Pilot Information'Also check out and joinhttp://www.ukvpo.org/ a good resource once they get up and running. For 'hands on' try herehttp://www.hawarden.org.uk/If UK time is out for you have a look at the VATSIM site in your location, most local sites have some training or can point you to a suitable site.A word of advice. As a new pilot avoid joining one of the high profile events such as the recent UK Overload or the coming 'Cross the Pond 3'.These events are usually very busy and as such controllers do not have the time to nurse 'newbies' along.Be prepared to have no social life once you have experienced on line flying :-lol Have fun

Thanks for your help. I think I may try a training session with a VATSIM controller. Thanks again.
