Vanishing Macro!

Recommended Posts

A question for Arno mostly, since you usually have the right fix when I have a scenery problem. Working on an addition to an airport and did the terminal as a macro in NOVA. pretty detailed (44 parts, looks good and all, but at certain angles (not distance) it vanishes, the shadow is still there but no terminal. Any suggestions on this ? Maybe some code I can add by hand.Regards, Michael

At first I would say have a look at the v2 value of the reference point and try to increase that a bit. If it is set to low things like this can happen.Arno

thanks Arno, I had already adjusted the V2 settings in a wide area of settings to try and fix this, still happens. I ended up making 3 more terminals using different methods and all have problems, the one in the pic is the most stable as far as the vanishing goes, BUT as you can see the textures won't display on the inside curve, they are enabled and I have checked a variety of settings including the triangulation of the roof textures, but to no avail, any chance of there being fix for this, I can't thing of another way to make this terminal work since it is a horseshoe shape.Regards, Michael

Are the textures visible when you go inside the terminal? Then just the wrong side would be drawn and you can fix that relatively easy in the source.I don't have any new ideas for the vanishing now, can you maybe send me the macro (arno@nl-2000.com) so I can have a look in FS? That might give me an idea :)Arno
