how can I exclude the default airport without excluding

Featured Replies

Is it possible to exclude the default airport runways, buildings, etc. without excluding my anootated autogen?

Hi osu_av8or.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID10/2046.htmlThere's been a LOT written about making exclude BGLs in the forum. A simple search for 'exclude' would produce some more results. To exclude a runway, the refpoint is in the center of the runway... so a rather small exclude square could be used to kill the entire strip.example:Header( 1 42:38.08 42:38.00 -88:36.06 -88:36.08 )Exclude( 0F 42:38.08 42:38.00 -88:36.06 -88:36.08 )That's it. The exclude area is only a fraction of the runway, but it excludes the refpoint, and that removes the entire runway ( & taxiway ), while leaving the nearby buildings and autogen intact.Dick

Maybe this is something strange, but when I tried to make a small exclude around a runway on Drachten (EHDR, but I don't guess anybody knows that field :D), it didn't work. Once I placed more small excludes, so that they all together cover the entire runway, only then the runway went away. So it doesn't always seem to work.On the other hand I tried the same at Schiphol some time ago and that small exclude caused all runways to be gone :).Arno

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
