Where's the AFD?

Recommended Posts

Hi people.Maybe I am too dumb, but where is the AFD in FS9; in FS8 it seemed having been in the SCENEDB/AFDFILES/SCENERY, but now...? Sorry, I'm pretty new to this. I tried aroud with Manfred Moldenhauer's AFDTree, but no success so far. Or has the AFD changed so much, does anyone know? I'm aware the SDK ain't out yet. :-(Thanks,Etienne

Etienne,The AFD information is included in the airport BGLs now, which is why we're all unable to use AFCAD to modify entries. Lee is coming out with a new AFCAD version sometime in October that not only will allow for modification of this information but will also have control over visual scenery as well. It promises to be quite an upgrade. But for now it's not you... nobody knows exactly how the data is formatted or how to alter it, so don't feel bad.

Yeah yeah, heard about it... That the AFD will apparently directly affect the visuals as well, AFAIK.>nobody knows exactly how the data is formatted or how to alter>it, so don't feel bad.Oh well, I do feel bad, lol ;-) I don't even want to alter it, just read (via some own app)... Anyway, so I hope there'll come some information on this from the MS side somewhen... *!
