January 1, 200422 yr HelloI was wondering if anyone found an easy and effecient solution for the sinking AI in custom airports. My airport is a photogrid layout done in Architect 2002 with a flatten poly. The player plane does not sink in the ground however the AI ones doAFCAD2 airport settings do not fix the issueAny idea?Michel
January 1, 200422 yr Author Commercial Member Yes we (NL2000 team) found a way, but it is still not 100% perfect. It seems to work if you add the AFD files with the new altitude twice. Once in your normal scenery folder and once in a new folder that you move below the default AFD files in the scenery library. January 1, 200422 yr Hi MichelI've had the same problem. I did experiment by putting in a flatten area and setting my own elevation. This did solve the problem with the AI at one airport but caused other problems, i couldn't see the runway.Steve
January 2, 200422 yr Thanks for the tips, I will try to use the 2 AFD technique however I wonder if this is a practical solution for people to install...Hi Dick, In Architect2002 program you have the flatten poly that you can select in its properties either Altitude conform to terrain or to enter it manuallyI hope the terrain SDK will explain this issue unless it is a bug :(Michel
January 2, 200422 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Michel,Yes, I think it is not practicle to install, therefore I wrote it is not 100% perfect yet :). Maybe AFCAD can be updated with the info of the BGLComp SDK so that it works right away, but I am not sure about that.
