January 14, 200422 yr Hi,Is there any script/converter who can export .DFX from gmax or any other file extension the cva-converter can read. Or is there any other way to open a Gmax file in FSDS.I will try to build in gmax and do the textures and animations in FSDS.Best Chris DK
January 15, 200422 yr Hello Chris,I do not know FSDS - does it read x files? If so, you can get gMax output as such using Middleman and MDLCommander:http://thegreatptmd.tripod.comhttp://hometown.aol.de/docmoriarty3/fs2002/index.html?f=fsBest regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
January 15, 200422 yr Author Commercial Member I don't think FSDS does read x files. But are you sure it can read DXF files? I have only heard of an export option to DXF in FSDS.I also remember that I have seen some DXF export scripts for GMax, but I can't remember where. In general the export features out of GMax are a bit limited (probably to prevent you from modeling in GMax for free and then using it somewhere else, therefore ussually only the official gamepacks provide a proper export feature).
